Keeshig Scores Twice In Pair of Losses
The Owen Sound Quick Lube Jr. Attack suffered a pair of losses on the weekend at the hands of two top teams in the Novice Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League.

The Novice Jr. Attack traveled to Midland for a Saturday afternoon tilt that was tight for two periods resulting in a 1-1 tie going into the final frame. The Midland Centennials proved to be too much to handle as they managed four goals in the third en route to a 5-1 victory. Kashias Keeshig got the lone marker on a rebound from Bryce Martin.
The Novice squad bounced back on Sunday with a great effort versus the first place Elmvale Coyotes. Kashias Keeshig made no mistake on his first shift up the right wing going high short side to give the Owen Sound squad an early 1-0 lead. Elmvale answered late in the period to knot the game at one before entering the second.
Owen Sound was not able to find the back of the net while Elmvale took a 2-1 lead into the third and final period.
Elmvale struck first in the third to take a 3-1 lead before Ronan Helder earned an open look short handed and made no mistake putting the puck top corner to bring the Jr. Attack within one.
Although both teams battled hard the final five minutes, nothing changed in an eventual 3-2 win for the visiting Coyotes.

The Novice team will practice Monday and then hit the road for a late 7:30pm battle versus Collingwood on Tuesday night.
