Owen Sound Quick Lube Novice A Jr. Attack Back on the Winning Track !!
After a tough tournament last weekend and two strong practices this week, the Jr. Attack put together two very impressive showings this past weekend versus the Georgian Bay Minor Hockey Leagues top two teams.

Saturday afternoon at the Bayshore saw the Quick Lube Jr. Attack face-off against the league leading Midland Centennials.
Goaltender Kai Bryja played outstanding between the pipes right from the drop of the puck keeping the score 0-0 through the first period.
Midland would strike first at 4:24 in the second banging home a rebound to take the lead, but it was short lived as Cody Cox fired a "rainbow" up and over the crowd beating the Centennials goaltender to knot the game at one each (assisted by Ronan Helder).
A solid team effort from the net out kept the game tied at 1-1 until about halfway through the third when Midland took a one goal lead.
Owen Sound had the empty cage a couple of times but could not bury the biscuit, and gave the leagues top team all they could handle in a heart breaking 2-1 loss.
No rest for the weary, as your home town Jr. Attack would travel to Elmvale the next day to face the second place Coyotes for their second game in as many days.

Well, the kids came to play! Their effort and relentless pressure eventually paid off as they wore down a team that has got the best of them their previous two meetings this season.

The crowd was on the edge of their seats and got full value for their $4 ticket witnessing end to end action, amazing saves, scoring opportunities, but no goals going into the third.

Cody Cox broke free and came in on net firing a hard wrist shot to be foiled by a beautiful glove save........wait a minute....ref indicates a goal!  The net minder was too far back in his net and the puck although in the catcher, clearly crossed the line, just too hot to handle.

The lead was short lived as Elmvale poured it on and eventually beat Myles Playter with a second effort on a rebound at the side of the net.

Kashias Keeshig caught the Coyotes goalie off guard on a face-off just 4 minutes later beating him 5 hole to regain a one goal lead.

Both teams were generating chances and with the Jr. Attack goaltender down and out after making a couple of saves on a flurry in front of the net, Elmvale found the loose puck and fired a wrist shot up top to only be stymied by a desperation glove save preserving the lead.

The Jr. Attack would get the breathing room they were working so hard for at 2:49 in the third as Ronan Helder moved the puck to Markus Grajnar-Ptok who broke in to score their third goal of the period and the game.

Elmvale soon after pulled their goalie, and even with 6 on 4 for a bit, were unable to close the gap as the Owen Sound Jr. Attack regained their winning form in a very impressive 3-1 road win.

The Quick Lube Novice A team will not see any league action until Dec. 14th and 15th with two road games against the third and first place teams (Collingwood and Midland).
