After a crowd pleasing 5-5 comeback tie yesterday in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League action, the Owen Sound Quick Lube Novice Jr. Attack won a thrilling 1-0 game to earn three points on the weekend home and home series.
One of the best battles of the season saw a 0-0 dead lock after the first period.
Late in the second period Kashias Keeshig followed line-mate Cody Cox to the net and made no mistake finding the back of the cage with the ensuing rebound.
The attack killed three penalties in the third period, and goaltender Myles Playter stood strong closing the door on every Thunder opportunity earning the shutout.
The Owen Sound Quick Lube Novice Jr. Attack are currently sitting in second place.
Back in action next weekend with a road game Saturday vs Midland, and a rematch at home versus the first place Elmvale Coyotes on Sunday.
