Quick Lube Novice Jr. Attack Storm Back Late in the Third!
Your hometown Quick Lube Novice Jr. Attack team battled hard the final 5 minutes of play to erase a 3 goal deficit and earn a valuable point in a 5-5 tie.

Ronan Helder started the Attack scoring just six minutes into the match going top corner to obtain the early lead.
Fast forward to late in the second period and after a few bad bounces, the visiting Oro Thunder had built a 3-1 lead. With about 5 minutes to go in the second frame, centre Markus Grajnar Ptok found the mesh (assisted by Bryce Martin) to cut the lead in half.
However, the Thunder were quick to answer regaining a two goal lead before the end of the second period.

The bad bounces continued as an outside shot ricocheted off three players before eluding the Owen Sound net minder to give the Oro Thunder a commanding 5-2 lead early in the third period.

One consistency this season has been "No Quit", and with 5:07 to go in the game Cody Cox lit the lamp off a juicy rebound (assisted by Kashias Keeshig and Cohen Garvie).
Less then one minute later, Markus Grajnar Ptok netted his second marker to cut the lead to one (assisted by Bryce Martin and Ronan Helder). Ptok was not done yet as he completed the hat trick and tied the game with 1:04 remaining (assists to Curtis Duggan and Ronan Helder).

With the packed house on the edge of their seats during the final minute neither team could break the tie and it remained deadlocked at 5-5 with both teams earning a single point.

The Quick Lube Novice Jr. Attack do not have to wait long for a rematch versus the Thunder as they travel to Oro tomorrow for a 4:35 start.
