Novice AEs skate to draw in Feversham
FEVERSHAM - The Owen Sound QuikLube Junior Attack novice AEs skated to a 6-6 tie with Osprey in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League play on Sunday.

Owen Sound opened the scoring in the first period when Sam Barrett picked up a pass from Noah Hemstock and scored past the Osprey goalie. Jacob Duncan also assisted on the goal.
Hemstock made it 2-0 Owen Sound just over a minute later when he took a pass from Calder Adams and scored.
Curtis Arnold then gave Owen Sound a 3-0 lead early in the second period when he scored five-hole on the Osprey goalie. The assists went to Eric Barnard and Hunter McMillan.
Cole Gowan gave Owen Sound a 4-0 lead with just under four minutes left in the second when he broke in alone on the Osprey goalie and potted a goal.
Osprey then woke up and netted two goals in 29 seconds to cut Owen Sound's lead in half before Cole Gowan netted his second goal of the game, fighting off a pair of Osprey defenders and scoring. Eric Barnard picked up his second assist of the game.
Osprey scored early in the third before Noah Hemstock scored his second of the game to make the score 6-3.
Osprey then applied the pressure on Owen Sound, scoring three goals in a span of five minutes to knot the score at 6-6.
The teams played back-and-forth hockey for the rest of the game, with Landon Sanford coming up big in goal on several occasions to keep the game tied.
Cole Gowan had a breakaway chance with about 20 seconds remaining but was stopped by the Osprey goalie. The rebound was picked up by an Osprey player who skated the puck back the other way only to be stoned by Landon Sanford with seven seconds left.
Owen Sound is back in action Saturday when they travel to Arthur for a tournament. Owen Sound opens against Creemore at 10 a.m. and then faces host Arthur at noon.
