Novice AEs capture consolation
The Owen Sound QuikLube Junior Attack novice AEs captured the Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League C Division consolation title on the weekend.

Owen Sound skated to a 6-3 win in Shelburne on Sunday to take the best-of-three series 2-0.
Devon Long led the Junior Attack with a pair of goals. Landen Humphries, Cole Gowan, Eric Barnard and Tyson Downs added singles for Owen Sound, who displayed just how far they have come this year with crisp passes, a hard forecheck and backcheck and strong goaltending from Landon Sanford.
On Saturday the Junior Attack defeated a team from Elmvale 14-1 in an exhibition match. The story of this game was Hunter McMillan notching his first of the season. McMillan has been a rock on the blue-line for the novice AEs all season long.
The rest of the offence in this game came from Noah Hemstock and Gowan with three each, Curtis Arnold and Barnard with two each and singles from Sam Barrett, Calder Adams and Long. Connor Mill stood tall in goal when called upon and Tyson Morrison and Jacob Duncan provided strong defence.
The consolation championship capped a year where the team improved all season long, finishing off with seven wins in their final eight games.
