Novice AEs show determination in Teeswater
The Owen Sound QuikLube Junior Attack novice AEs never quit despite some tough competition at the Teeswater Lions Tournament on Saturday.

Owen Sound opened the tournament against the Shallow Lake Lakers.
Owen Sound worked hard all game against a very big and fast Shallow Lake team. The Lakers managed to keep Owen Sound off the scoreboard for the first two periods, but the Junior Attack never quit and had a strong third period.
Cole Gowan, Devon Long and Sam Barrett scored for Owen Sound. Barrett also had an assist in the game, which Shallow Lake won 10-3. Gowan was awarded player of the game honours. The Lakers eventually won the tournament with a 9-2 win over Lucknow in the final.
In their second game, the Junior Attack played a strong game, but still fell 6-1 to Ripley. Curtis Arnold scored for Owen Sound.
Landen Sanford, who made some big saves in both games, was awarded player of the game in the contest against Ripley.
The Junior Attack AEs are now off until Saturday when they take on Dundalk at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre at 1:10 p.m.
