Novice AEs split weekend games
The Owen Sound QuikLube Junior Attack novice AEs went 1-1-0 in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey league play on the weekend

Owen Sound opened the weekend on Saturday with a 7-5 win over the Grand Valley Twisters.
Eric barnard had the hot hands in this game netting a hat trick and adding an assist for Owen Sound.
Noah Hemstock chipped in with a pair of goals, while Landen Humphries and Cole Gowan each scored once.
Curtis Arnold picked up a pair of assists and Landon Sanford made some big saves in the Owen Sound goal.
On Sunday the novices dropped a hard fought 8-6 decision in Wasaga beach against the Stars.
Hemstock led Owen Sound with three goals, while Devon Long scored twice and Arnold netted one.
In this game the Junior Attack fought back from a couple of goals down at the start of the third period to tie the game at 5-5, but the Stars scored a couple late in the game to seal the win.
The boys played a strong game, really coming together as a group and once again Sanford made several key saves in the Owen Sound goal.
the Junior Attack are back in action this weekend, taking on Honeywood at 1:10 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre before hitting the road Sunday for a game in Coldwater.
Owen Sound's record on the season now sits at 2-5-0.
