A busy weekend with three games played. The U14 A team faced the 4th and 5th ranked teams in Ontario. The first game was played Friday night in Milton facing the Winterhawks - we had a 5-0 loss. On Saturday the team travelled to Fergus to face Centre Wellington Fusion - we had a 4-1 loss. On Sunday we played at the Bayshore vs the Milton Winterhawks - the game ended with a 2-0 loss.
It was a tough match up on Friday night. The Winterhawks are ranked first in the tri-county loop and 4th overall in Ontario. Paul McKenna made some big saves and Duke McGlynn played an amazing game on defense.
The game on Saturday was against Centre Wellington Fusion. Our goal was scored by Ben Warwick. The goal was assisted by Gryphon Barber and Darion Hicks. Michael Maloney played lights out in net. Cade Norton played fiercely. It was a challenge to play Centre Wellington - they are ranked 5th in Ontario.
On Sunday, we played Milton again at home. Paul McKenna stood on his head - he faced 48 shots and stopped 46 of them! The boys played hard.
One more game next weekend at Oakville Rangers Blue before going into the Christmas break.
