Lucky against the Shamrocks
The Owen Sound Major Peewees returned to their winning ways on Friday night beating the Hespeler Shamrocks 4-2. The Attack took a 1-0 lead in the first when Jordan Lawrence carried the puck down the wing and popped one past the Shamrock's goalie. In the second period, the Jr Attack saw a goal from Tanner Prior and another from Noah Rouse who skated in on a breakaway coming out of the penalty box.

The team lost momentum in the second when they got into some trouble with penalties. This was also compounded by a malfunction with the rink boards causing a delay in the game while rink staff had to find equipment to make the repairs. This allowed Hespeler to score two goals to pull within one mid way through the last frame. Owen Sound was able to spoil the Hespeler comeback when Brady Brown caught the Shamrocks goalie being pulled from the net and was able to score in the empty goal with only seconds left to play to seal the victory.
Reese Pettigrew had a strong game facing 32 shots so it looks like his new glove and blocker passed the test!
