Win and Two Ties for the Garb & Gear PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack
The Owen Sound Garb & Gear PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack were in action on the weekend with a home game Friday night and 2 away games on Saturday and Sunday.


Friday night the PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack hosted the Ancaster Avalanche at the Rec Centre, which would end in a tie of 2 – 2.  Ethan Williams would score first in the 2nd period.  Assisted by Aiden Stanley and Nate Garrett.  The Avalanche would respond to that goal in the 3rd period.  Morgan Armstrong would give the Attack a 2 – 1 lead at the half way mark in the 3rd period, assisted by Stanley and Nolan Edmonstone.  The Avalanche would quickly tie it up to end the game.

On Saturday the PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack visited the Guelph Gryphons.  Duff McGrogan would score unassisted with only seconds left in the 1st period.  Garrett would then score in the 2nd period from Edmonstone to give the Attack a 2 – 0 lead.  However the Gryphons would score with only minutes left in the 3rd period to end the game at 2 – 1 for the PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack.

Sunday the team would head to Caledon to face off with the Caledon Hawks.  Seth Stewart would put Owen Sound on the board first in period one with McGrogan and Hunter Stewart assisting.  Stanley would make it a 2 – 0 lead shortly after, with Garrett and Williams assisting.  The Hawks would score early in the 2nd period to close the gap to a 2 – 1 score.  In the the 3rd period the Hawks came out strong with two quick goals early on.  However the PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack were not done, as Stanley would tie it up with Bennett Carr assisting.  Final score 3 – 3.

Next game is Friday Nov. 17, 2017 at 7:30 pm at the Julie McArthur Rec. Centre.
