Minor PeeWee Move On In OMHA Playoffs
The Owen Sound Garb & Gear PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack swept round 2 against the Dundas Blues in OMHA playoffs.


On Saturday the PeeWee Minor visited Dundas Blues in a nail biting 2 - 1 win. Both teams had some chances of scoring in the first period but were unable to due to great goal tending on both teams. In period 2 Owen Sound would not let up and with less than 2 minutes into the period Leighton Hurst would score with Nate Garrett and Aiden Stanley assisting. Period 3 started with Dundas on a power play in which they were able to capitalize on to tie it up. However Seth Stewart made it 2 - 1 half way through the period with Will McMillan assisting. With the goalie pulled Dundas was unable to tie it up to force overtime.

On Sunday both teams were in Owen Sound where the Jr Attack won 5 - 1. The Attack were out to win and really stepped up the game from the beginning. Garrett was able to put the first goal past Dundas to start the scoring in period 1. Bennett Carr and Hunter Stewart picked up the assists. Duff McGrogan scored late in the period with Ethen Williams and Stanley assisting. Neither team let up on the pressure in period 2. However less than 5 minutes left of the period H. Stewart would get a pass from Garrett and score to make it 3 - 0. 20 seconds later the Attack were able to crowd the net and Williams was able to slide one in with McGrogan assisting. Dundas was able to score just seconds later. Early in period 3 Garrett picked up his second of the game with McMillan and Keltan Berner assisting.

The Owen Sound PeeWee Minor now wait to see who they will go up against with the conclusion of the Milton Winterhawks and Oakville - Red Rangers series for the quarterfinals.
