The Leeder & Associates Major Atoms played a pair of games this weekend and came away with ties against both opponents. Elmvale came out gunning and put the boys down 2 early. Things settled down but Elmvale netted another to make it 3-0. A blast from Caleb Morrison got the boys going and they started to skate again. Kieran Moore added a that much needed second goal. A wrister from Caleb found its way through the 5 hole to tie it up. The boys dominated the 3rd with shot after shot but couldn't solve the Elmvale netminder. The final score...3-3
Sunday saw the boys face their favorite rival, the Saugeen Shores Storm coming away with another tie. A goal by Austin Barnard seconds into the frame looked very promising but the Storm answered back and the game was on. Austin added a second off a face-off draw win by Kieran and promptly deposited it in the net. It was a well matched back and forth game with Kieran adding the tying goal on a nice wrist shot.
The boys also recieved there custom team ties this weekend, they are awesome!
