Jr. Attack Bantams Even on Weekend with Shorthanded Squad
In the Tri-County Bantam Smith division home opener, the Owen Sound Jr. Attack Gaviller & Company Bantam Majors lost 4-2 to the Woolwich Wildcats Sunday afternoon at the Bayshore.

After a scoreless first period, Dylan Brown opened the scoring in the second period (assisted by Nathan Roy and Kyle Betts) on a very sweet tic-tac-toe-in-the-top-corner powerplay goal. Kai Hiemstra added another (unassisted) scored for Owen Sound.

The Jr. Attack took on the Wildcats with a short bench, after Saturday night's late game in Hespeler left the squad with only 11 skaters with 2 serving suspensions and another out with concussion from a serious yet un-penalized check to the head.

The team is continuing to build chemistry and worked hard for the entire game, The coaches commeneded them for continuing to work hard and moving the puck well in the offensive zone.

The Owen Sound Jr. Attack Gaviller & Company Bantam Majors are next in action on Saturday October 1st where they host New Hamburg - 3:30 PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
