Jr. Attack Bantams Open Season with a Win
In the Tri-County Bantam Smith division regular season opener, the Owen Sound Jr. Attack Gaviller & Company Bantam Majors took on Hespeler in Cambridge late Saturday night, defeating the host Shamrocks 5-1.
Janine Vandershot opened the scoring in the 1st period, assisted by Mitchell Wand. Dylan Brown (assisted by Kyle Betts and Nathan Roy) and Kai Hiemstra (assisted by Emerson Masters) added singles in the 2nd period.
Kyle Betts (unassisted) and Kai Hiemstra (unassisted) added to the tally in the 3rd period. The Jr. Attack moved the puck well in both ends of the ice and had the powerplay working well. Andrew Rutherford was strong in goal.
The Owen Sound Jr. Attack Gaviller & Company Bantam Majors are next in action with their home opener, Sunday September 25th - 5:00 PM at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
