PeeWee AE sweep their way to championship
Submitted By doddd on Thursday, March 22, 2012
The Owen Sound Hyundai PeeWee AE jr. Attack swept their way to a championship with an exciting 3-2 win Thursday night in Grand Valley.

Game 3 saw the boys come out and play hard right off the puck drop and jumped out to an early 1st period 2 goal lead with goals by Seamus Furness and Scooter Dodd. The Grand Valley Twisters in a do or die game started to gain some momentum in the second period and did not let up and tied the score up at 2 a piece. The game went back and forth with both goalies making some great saves. The save of the game came with Mac Kuglin spread out and diving back to make an unbelievable paddle save to keep the score tied at 2. With 72 seconds to play and a face off in the Grand Valley end Scooter Dodd won the face off and got the puck back to Keegan Bradley who then fed it to Seamus Furness who then wired his second goal of the game from the blue line "top shelf" to give the boys the go ahead and game winning goal.
The final buzzer saw the boys pile on the ice to celebrate a fantastic win to end a fantastic season. Once the celebration calmed down they all grabbed their sticks and saluted the fans for their great support through out the year.

Congratulations to all members of the 2011/12 Owen Sound Hyundai PeeWee AE jr. Attack on winning the Georgian Bay League PeeWee Championship.
