Dodd's Heroics = 4th Straight Win
Owen Sound Hyundai AE PeeWee Junior Attack won their 4th straight playoff win with a strong effort against Essa Friday night. Nathaniel "Scooter" Dodd received the puck with 6 seconds left in the game and skated the length of the ice "snapping" a shot to the top right corner of the net with less than a second remaining on the clock to send his teammates into a frenzy.
Shocked parents continued to look at each other, look at both referees with their arms extended (signalling goal) and looking at the clock that had 00:00 ... not believing what they had just witnessed. Despite the large shot differential, the game was a very close contest. Shawn Keuken went hard to the net, forechecked hard and tapped in a rebound on a shot from Tayan MacMillan to get the Attack's first goal of the game. Andrew Spitzig was responsible for tying the game in the second period when he rushed the puck up the middle of the ice. Essa's defender closed in on "Spitter" and he dumped the puck off to "Scooter" Dodd who scored his 1st goal of the game.
