PeeWee AE Take Series Opener
Owen Sound Hyundai PeeWee AE Junior Attack take series opener in Finals showdown with Grand Valley. Our Junior Attack had lost all 4 games to Grand Valley this season; however, Saturday, they were not to be denied.
The first period was a very tightly contested contest with very minimal chances at either end. Grand Valley opened the scoring midway through the second period by pouncing on a rebound as Mac Kuglin was dealing with Valley's 6' tall forward in the crease. Owen Sound continue to pound the Grand Valley netminder with shots and finally were rewarded with goals by Scooter Dodd and Luc Chiasson to close the period.
Our Junior Attack scored on their 1st shot of the third period. Tayan MacMillan made an excellent play to go wide on Valley's defense and then fed a perfect pass to Brady Blackman across the crease who scored Owen Sound's third straight goal. Shawn Kueken put the game away with a perfect shot from his own blue line into Grand Valley's empty net.
