Owen Sound Firefighter Junior Attack Deliver On and Off the Ice

Nov 8th 2015.  The Owen Sound Firefighter Junior Attack had a very successful weekend winning  the minor Bantam division of the Silver Stick Qualifier and helped to deliver food to the local food bank.

The team went 3-1 in round robin Play, with a 5-3 win over Barrie, a 5-4 loss to Brantford 2-0 win against Bradford, and a 3-2 win against Aurora. This record put the team in the final on Sunday morning against the Branford 99ers.   The fire fighter squad won the title, beating the 99ers 3-0.  All three lines contributed on the score sheet. Preston Downs was solid in net. The Team qualifies for the International Silver Stick in Newmarket Jan 14-17, 2016.

The Firefighter Junior Attack also completed the weekend, delivering non- perishable food that had been collected during a two-week food drive.  The effort was organized by the team, which saw them challenging the Owen Sound Bantam A Ice Hawks to see who could collect the most items. Both teams met at the Bayshore Community Centre on Sunday to deliver the food collected, to members of the Salvation Army food bank.

A total of 1610 lbs of food was collected, a remarkable effort by all players, to achieve this result. The teams would like to thank all those who helped them, help those less fortunate.

Connect Rehabilitation|Yoga|Fitness
CONNECT opened in May 2019 out of a need for MORE. More 1-on-1 time with our patients, more time learning about you and your goals, and more focus on doing the things that we know will help you in the long term. That meant creating a space that provided more than just the highest quality physiotherapy, chiropractic, and massage therapy services. It meant we needed a space where we could empower people to take active control of their health, and provide them with the specialized group fitness, yoga, and cycle classes that they needed to accomplish that. CONNECT is an enigma in both the healthcare world and the fitness world. We don't fit nicely into either box, but we know that the way that we bring the two together is going to help change the way we think about and manage our own health.
