Nobody transforms into Somebody
The OSMHG executive was thrilled to have a visit from one of it's young hockey players Tuesday night to share his school project with us!
Gavin Downs' Grade 3 class is working on the Nobody project.
Nobody is a two-foot gender-neutral doll made of denim that each student takes home for a week. During that time they show Nobody how to become Somebody by teaching it to be a good person.
For his part, Gavin decided he would donate all of his gently used hockey equipment to Owen Sound Minor Hockey. Because of Gavin's generosity, other young hockey players who may not have been able to afford it, will now have the opprtunity to play.
Awesome job Gavin!
Some of his fellow classmates donated clothes to the womens' shelter, pet supplies to the local animal shelter and kept a relative company who had broken their leg.
