JAMBOREE RULES
1. 1. This is an OMHA Sanctioned Jamboree. Sanction #10887
2. 2. Coaches/Managers must submit a team roster and travel permit, by the end of day on Dec 9th.
3. 3. Coaches or managers are to check in with the tournament office, located on the second floor at the top of the stairs, to complete their game sheets at least 30 minutes prior to game start.
4. 4. U7 games will be played on the West Pad (to the left) and will be “cross ice”. Players that are not in the current play, will remain on the ice surface with their coach in a designated area.
5. 5. U8 games will be played on the East Pad (to the right) and will be “half ice”. Players that are not in the current play, will utilize the benches. The home team will have access to the door closer to the changerooms and the visiting team will have access to the door closer to the Zamboni entrance.
6. 6. Ice pads divided up into “A” end close to the Zamboni entrance and “B” end close to the dressing rooms
7. 7. Blue 4oz pucks will be used
8. 8. Games will consist of 4 on 4 with a goalie. In the event that a team does not have a goalie present, the net will remain empty and a 5th skater may be added. For safety reasons, no player shall occupy the net without the necessary equipment.
9. 9. All games will start at the same time so one clock will be used to manage the length of the game.
10. 10. Games are 2 periods of 22 minutes, non-stop clock
11. 11. Game lengths will be running time with a buzzer signaling every 2 minutes for line changes
12.12. Face-offs are used at the start of each period.
13. Teams will be given a minute on ice warm-up prior to starting the game and two minutes between periods.
14. No stoppage of play after a goal, the scoring team must retreat to the vicinity of their net and cannot pressure until the attacking team reaches mid ice.
15. There will be no score kept.
16. There will be NO Penalties, however if a player is being unruly they may be asked to leave the ice for a shift or the remainder of the game.
17. Players benches and ice surfaces are to be strictly used by bench staff and players, that appear on the submitted rosters, only. Parent, fans and all other attendees are prohibited from accessing these areas.
