Jr Attack Squeek Out a Win in Game 3
In game 4 of the Bradford November Hockey Tournament in Innisfil Ontario, Owen Sound Jr. Attack held a strong 4-0 lead over the Essex Ravens early Saturday morning. Leighton Hurst and Morgan Armstrong getting one each in the second period assisted by Cohen Taylor and Hunter Stewart.
Bennett Carr found the back of the net at the 7:02 minute of the third with the assist going to Brian Corbett and Morgan Armstrong got one more with another assist going to Tyler Gibbons. Not going down without a fight the Essex Ravens had the Attack on their heels in the last 5 minutes of the third scoring 3 goals in under 2 minutes. With only 25 seconds left and the lead on the line Essex broke free just inside the Attack blue line and headed towards the net but was shut down by the quick glove of goaltender Michael Smith assuring they left the ice with the lead and the game winning this one 4-3. Owen Sound moves on to Game 4 in against the Nickel City Rebels.
