Consolation championships game one win
Our team fought hard to come out with the win in game one of our consolation finals against Collingwood. Goal scored by Garrett Ramsey assisted by Logan Armstrong in the second period. Logan Mitchell had a great game in goal making many game saving saves.
It was end to end with aggressive playing from both teams. The end of the game resulted in 4 penalties called after the game ended. 3 for Collingwood and 1 for Owen Sound. Dustin Lantz sacrificed himself to hold the puck along the boards in the final seconds giving Collingwood no chance to come back and tie the game. The team had to fight off a bench penalty for to many players (bad line change) on the ice when there was just 3:36 seconds left in the third. They played with heart which resulted in the win
2nd game is Saturday afternoon in Collingwood. Game time is 2:45.
