Tough Playoff OT Loss
Owen Sound Hyundai AE PeeWee team had a tough loss in overtime today. The boys played well and capitalized on their opportunities to take a 3-1 lead and chase the Wildcats starting goaltender with goals by Brady Blackman, Tayan MacMillan and Shawn Keuken.
Woolwich stormed back with three straight goals to take a 4-3 lead in the 3rd period. With roughly a minute left in the game, Scooter Dodd took a feed from Seamus Furness near center ice and broke through the Woolwich defense and got a shot on net. Andrew Spitzig dumped the rebound past their goaltender to tie the game. Roughly a minute into overtime with the Wildcats forechecking hard in the Owen Sound end, the Woolwich forward fed an excellent pass from behind the Owen Sound net into the slot and Woolwich made no mistake putting the shot past the Attack goaltender Seth Gauthier.
