Champions!!
The U14 rep team are the champions of the Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament! It was an incredible weekend!
The boys worked hard to make it all happen! A break down of the 5 games....
The first game was a 2-1 loss vs St Catharine's Falcons. Our goal was scored by Keagan McGregor, assisted by Holden Cosby and Tysen Gass. A close one! Player of the game was David Bedford.
The second game ended in a 5-1 win vs Upper York Admirals. The first goal was scored by Duke McGlynn, assisted by Jaxson Mooney. Ben Warwick scored with a wrap around, unassisted. Gryphon Barber scored 2 birthday goals (assisted by Ben Warwick and Darion Hicks; Gryphon's second goal was unassisted). Our fifth goal on the empty net was scored by Darion Hicks and assisted by Gryphon Barber. Michael Maloney played amazing in net. Player of the game was Simon Hornick.
The third game was a 1-0 win against the Newmarket Renegades to get us into the semi finals. Our goal was scored by Ben Warwick, assisted by Gryphon Barber. Paul McKenna had the shut out! Player of the game was Gryphon Barber.
The semi-final game was another match up against the St Catharine's Falcons with a 1-0 win. Ben Warwick scored, assisted by Gryphon Barber. Michael Maloney had a shut out and was player of the game!
The final Championship game was played against the North Durham Warriors; with a 4-0 big win!! Simon Hornick scored the first goal, assisted by Ben Warwick. Darion Hicks scored, assisted by Duke McGlynn. Gryphon Barber scored, assisted by David Bedford. Cade Norton scored, assisted by Duke McGlynn. Paul McKenna had a shut out and was player of the game!
All of boys on this team deserved and worked hard to win the Championship! A shout out to our goalies - only 3 goals were scored the entire tourney! Congrats Champs!
