Two Wins over the Weekend
The Owen Sound Garb & Gear PeeWee Minor Jr. Attack were in action this past weekend at home.
Friday night the PeeWee Minor hosted the Centre of Wellington Fusion in a 2 - 1 win. Nolan Edmonstone opened the scoring in the 2nd period at the 8:24 mark with Jacob Gole assisting. Fusion would score early in the 3rd period to tie it up. Seth Stewart would make it 2 - 1 a minute and a half later with Nate Garrett and Hunter Stewart assisting.
Sunday afternoon at the Bayshore, the PeeWee Minor won 6 - 3 against the
visiting Oakville Rangers - Red. Leighton Hurst scored over 2 minutes into
period 1 with Aiden Stanley and Lucas McManaman assisting. H. Stewart followed
up almost two minutes later from Garrett and Hurst. The Rangers came out strong
in period 2 and scored 2 goals. However Hurst would get his second of the game
assisted by Stanley & Duff McGrogan to make it 3 - 2. H. Stewart opened up the
scoring in period 3 with S. Stewart and Garrett assisting. Almost 6 minutes
later H. Stewart would get a hat trick from Gole and McGrogan. Rangers would
close the gap by 2 less than a minute later. However Stanley crushed any hopes
for the Rangers to close the gap by getting an empty net goal from Hurst.
Next home game is Friday December 15th at 7:30 pm at the Rec Centre.
