In Loving Memory of Barb Downey
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. OSMHG and the community  mourn the passing of an incredible volunteer and individual.

Barb was involved as an Executive member with OSMHG from 1987  through to 2016 and was an avid volunteer outside the Executive well before then.

Barb may have served in every position of the Executive during her many years of dedication.

As a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Barb introduced the yearly contest of the children designing an annual OSMHG crest, several of which are still on display in our office. One of the most memorable events was in 2010, when the OMHA honoured Barb as the recipient of the prestigious Patricia Hartley Award "given in recognition of exemplary service in the field of sports administration."

Barb also was active in several children's sporting organizations such as Minor Softball, Big Sisters, Big Brothers and others. While Barb's biggest interest was always with the House League players, she would never miss cheering our Representative teams on to victory at the end of the season.

Barb's love for children and the sports they played will always be remembered.

Connect Rehabilitation|Yoga|Fitness
CONNECT opened in May 2019 out of a need for MORE. More 1-on-1 time with our patients, more time learning about you and your goals, and more focus on doing the things that we know will help you in the long term. That meant creating a space that provided more than just the highest quality physiotherapy, chiropractic, and massage therapy services. It meant we needed a space where we could empower people to take active control of their health, and provide them with the specialized group fitness, yoga, and cycle classes that they needed to accomplish that. CONNECT is an enigma in both the healthcare world and the fitness world. We don't fit nicely into either box, but we know that the way that we bring the two together is going to help change the way we think about and manage our own health.
