The Owen Sound Fire Fighter Minor Bantam Rep Team Attacks Hunger!
Friday November 4th marked the end of the Minor Bantam Fire Fighter
Attack food drive, to support the Owen Sound Salvation Army Food Bank.
The drive was held over a 16 day period, starting with a tour of the Owen Sound food bank. Both players and parents, gained an understanding of how the food bank operates, average lbs. of food required monthly, number of families depending on the food bank on a monthly basis, and other pertinent information.
Halloween night was a highlight of the drive, as the players were able to collect food during this evening, along with collecting the odd treat for themselves, along the way! A total of 1264 lbs of food was collected. An Awesome, effort!!
Our sincere thanks to the many friends, family, neighbors, the Pee Wee local league white team, the Minor Peewee Attack rep team and the Minor Midget Attack rep team who pitched in to help us, help those less fortunate.
