Owen Sound Quick Lube Novice Jr. Attack come away with a decisive 4-1 victory in their final game before weekend tournament in Guelph.
Kashias Keeshig lit the lamp early in the first on a feed from Markus Grajnar Ptok powering one past the Penetang Flames netminder.
It remained 1-0 Owen Sound after the first period, but in the second Callum Stata beat everyone to the net with a burst of speed banging home the second goal of the game.
Again in the second, Cody Cox also showed his speed, bursting free and cutting across the net making no mistake with a backhand back across top corner, making the TSN highlights of the night.
The Jr. Attack took a 3-0 lead into the final frame and were not quite done, with Markus Grajnar Ptok scoring on assists from Ronan Helder and Callum Stata.
Myles Playter was very busy in between the pipes making several key saves with both catcher and blocker, but with 21 seconds remaining his shutout was spoiled on a redirected puck off a skate out front.
It was nice to see the Quick Lube Novice A Jr. Attack put in such a strong performance before their tournament in Guelph this weekend. If in the area, stop by one of the four rinks in their first four games.
