The boys came out strong and Reese Pettigrew had a very strong outing for the Firefighters.
The game was back and forth and lots of shots and saves by both goalies and after 3 periods it went to a 5 minute Overtime. Nothing was solved in OT so it went to a shootout. Belle River went to its 20th shooter and didnt score. It came down to our 20th shooter as it was all tied 5-5 in the shootout and Jordan Lawrence went down the ice full of confidence and ended the game. WOW is all i can say. What a game and what an ending. too bad someone had to lose to be honest.
Reese Pettigrew played one of his best games this season and in the shootout, made several big saves to preserve the win and allow his team to make it the Tier 2 Final against Southpoint later Sunday.
