Two weekend wins brought the Owen Sound Firefighters Minor Bantam Junior Attack to the halfway point of the season with a 9-3-2 record, good for 4th place in the Division and a 0.714 win percentage, with the teams above them having played 2-4 more games each. The team's GAA of 2.36 is fifth in the league.
This result is quite impressive, considering four of last year's top players moved on to play AAA hockey this year. and the team moved to the tougher Tri-County league from the Georgian Bay league. The new additions to the team have fit in well, and the team is rolling all three lines with success. The defence has been steady, the goaltending solid, and goals for are coming at critical times.
The boys look to build on the success in the season's second half, working to match the intensity of their opponents and climb the standings.
