Mill backstops novice AEs
HONEYWOOD - Connor Mill was unbeatable in goal as the Owen Sound QuikLube Junior Attack novice AEs blanked Honeywood 4-0 in Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League play on the weekend.
Owen Sound opened the scoring in the first period when Curtis Arnold scored at the 4:47 mark.
Tyson Morrison extended the lead to 2-0 at the 3:20 mark of the second when he dangled through the entire Honeywood team and roofed a shot over the Honeywood goalie.
Landen Humphries then scored to make the game 3-0 at the 14:22 mark of the third period when he buried a pass out of the corner from Noah Hemstock.
Devon Long iced the game for the Junior Attack when he scored at the 6:49 mark of the third. Sam Barrett earned the assist on the goal.
With the win the Junior Attack improve their record to 3-9 in Georgian Bay league play.
Owen Sound is back in action on Sunday, Nov. 20 when they play Osprey at 11:30 a.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
