A coach should first determine whether they are eligible to coach before proceeding with the completion of any coach qualification requirements. Click here to complete the steps necessary to determine whether you are eligible to coach.

An eligible coach requires the following qualifications and acknowledgements:

  • Respect In Sport - Activity Leader
  • Gender Identity and Expression
  • Specific Team Qualifications
  • Rowan's Law Resource Review And Acknowledgement
Respect In Sport - Activity Leader

The Respect In Sport - Activity Leader course educates coaches and activity leaders to recognize, understand and respond to issues of bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination. It may be the single most important training leaders receive to assign in creating a safe, healthy and respectful environment for all participants.

Gender Identity And Expression

The Gender Identity And Expression course educates coaches on the understanding and awareness of transgender and gender-diverse identities and experiences.

Specific Team Qualifications

Specific team qualifications depend on the division, category and whether you are the Head Coach or Assistant Coach as shown below:
