Welcome to the Barb Downey Memorial Jamboree 2022
JAMBOREE RULES
1. This is an OMHA Sanctioned Jamboree. Sanction #10144
2. Coaches/Managers must submit a team roster and travel permit, prior to the
date of the Jamboree.
3. All teams, players, spectators and staff agree to abide by municipal and
provincial guidelines for health and safety related to covid 19. All those in
the building will wear a mask, including prior to and directly following
physical activity
4. Coaches or managers are to check in with the tournament office prior to their
first game to receive their welcome package.
5. Prior to each game, a team staff member will be required to fill out a game
participation sheet, in the tournament office.
6. Each team will have a designated changeroom for the day

7. All game will be half ice, divided up into “A” far end and “B” end close to
the dressing rooms
8. Blue 4oz pucks will be used
9. Games will consist of 5 on 5 with a goalie. In the event that a team does not
have a goalie present, the net will remain empty. For safety reasons, no
player shall occupy the net without the necessary equipment.
10. All games will start at the same time so one clock will be used to manage
the length of the game.
11. Games are 2 periods of 22 minutes, non-stop clock
12. Game lengths will be running time with a buzzer signaling every 2 minutes
for line changes
13. Face-offs are used at the start of each game.
14. Teams will be given a minute on ice warm-up prior to starting the game.
15. No stoppage of play after a goal, the scoring team must retreat to the vicinity
of their net and cannot pressure until the attacking team reaches mid ice.
16. There will be no icing or off-side rules.
17. There will be no score kept.
18. There will be NO Penalties, however if a player is being unruly he/she/they
may be asked to leave the ice for a shift.
19. Bench staff and players only in and around bench areas; please ask parents
to watch the games from the large viewing area and not from the bench area.
20. There is 9 minutes between games, please ensure the other teams has
completely vacated before your team gets onto the ice
21. Please return to the tournament office prior to your last game to collect your
team’s participation medals. Coaches are responsible for handing out their
own medals in their dressing room following their team’s last game.
