Cardiac Kids do it Again
The Leeder & Associates Major Atoms took on a tougher than expected Stayner squad in Stayner Friday night.
Down 2-0 early they got it to 4-2 on goals from Kieran Moore who undressed the goalie on a breakaway, and a hard wrister from Aiden Yarde which clipped the inside of the iron. With just over 4 min to play someone in the stands said, "Boy, a goal would be nice right about now". Austin Barnard must have heard that as he put a hard wrist shot off the goalies stick and in to make it 4-3. Just over a min left and Kieran got the equalizer going in 1 on 3, having his slap shot blocked recovering the puck and getting the wrap around. The winner came on a nice wrist shot from the point as Caleb Morrison put it home with :30 or so remaining.
The Major Atoms extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games!
