Quick Start + Strong Finish = 2nd Finals Win, News, PeeWee AE, 2011-12 (Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group)

Owen Sound Hyundai Pee Wee AE Junior Attack got off to a quick start when Scooter Dodd won the opening faceoff, skated in and scored "top shelf" 9 seconds into the game to set the tone of the game.    

Brady Blackman also scored in the first period on the exact replay of a yesterday's game when Tayan MacMillan went wide and fed a perfect pass across the crease.   Ryan Ames scored on Owen Sound's first shot of the 2nd period to give the home team a 3-0 lead.  

The Grand Valley Twisters stormed back in a penalty filled 2nd period.   Grand Valley outshot Owen Sound 19-8 in the period and responded back with 2 goals to cut the lead to 3-2.

Owen Sound gathered their composure in the third period.   They responded with 22 shots in the third period scoring three times.   Matthew Bumstead's goal made it a 2 goal lead and seemed to take the energy out of the Grand Valley.   Andrew Spitzig and Shawn Keuken also scored in the period.
