The Owen Sound Peewee
Foodland Team traveled to Wiarton yesterday at 7:00pm in the evening for an
eventful 10-1 victory over the Bruce Peninsula North Stars team. The
passing was crisp and the penalty minutes were low for both teams.
It was Foodland who got on the scoreboard first in the first period. Followed by a half a dozen goals scored in the
second. Noteable effort by Ben Snow for having 3 un-answered break aways
only to be stopped short by the Heads Up goaltending of the North Stars goalie.
In this case the paddle was mightier than the puck. Once we started to score, the goals just kept on coming. We were talking, passing, and controlling the puck in our end as well as their end. While in the North Stars end we were even using the” D “to help dump the puck back in so the forwards could bury the rebound. Nice job team! Foodland played a smart game, having offense and playing defensively when needed. The final score was 10-1 for Owen Sound. Great effort team! The Owen Sound Foodland peewee LL#1 team will once again hit the ice on Saturday Dec 17 against the Owen Sound Peewee LL#2 team at 1:45pm at the JMRRC. We hope to see lots of fans out.
