December 3rds game vs. Saugeen Shores Storm
What a hard fought game today! The Saugeen Shores Storm kept coming back to tie the game.
However, team Foodland was not going to go down without a fight.
Way to go on making the extra effort to put pressure on their goalie.
You created lots of opportunities and kept shooting.
You did a great job at clearing the offensive zone and minimizing the
off-sides, today. Once they tied the game, you worked hard to try and score
another goal by taking lots of shots on net. You didn't give up and kept
the play in offensive zone in the 3rd period. It was so exciting to see the
Foodland Team work so well together. Keep it up!
Peyton Beechey, as our goalie, did a great job of handling the on-coming rush. He was focused and came out of the net to challenge for the puck. Throughout the game, both our defence and forwards went to the net to help Peyton get the puck out of our zone.
Congratulations to Spencer Stephen as our player of the game! He came out strong and focused on helping our goalie clear any rebounds. He also took charge and helped the forwards dump the puck in order to clear our end. Spencer fought for the puck and took control, every time! Good job Spencer.
Honourable mentions go to both our Centres...Ben Snow and Cody Rudolph, they fought hard and both got a goal for their efforts , to end up with a 2 to 2 tie.
