Peewee LL #1, 2016-17 (Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group)

The Owen Sound Foodland  Peewee LL#1 Team was at a Tournament in Clifford on the weekend of Jan 21st 2017.

The  Owen Sound Peewee Foodland Team traveled to Wiarton yesterday at 7:00pm in the evening for an eventful 10-1 victory over the Bruce Peninsula North Stars team.  The passing was crisp and the penalty minutes were low for both teams. It was Foodland who got on the scoreboard first in the first period.  Followed by a half a dozen goals scored in the second. Noteable effort by Ben Snow for having 3 un-answered break aways only to be stopped short by the Heads Up goaltending of the North Stars goalie.

WIN! WIN! WIN! Our very first Win! Yeah Foodland!!! Great work Team !  Awesome goaltending, strong disciplined defence and hard skating forwards led to a 2-1 win over Saugeen Shores. 

What a hard fought game today!  The Saugeen  Shores Storm kept coming back to tie the game. However, team  Foodland was  not going to go down without a fight.  Way to go on making the extra effort to put pressure on their goalie.  You created lots of opportunities and kept shooting. You did a great job at clearing the offensive zone and minimizing the off-sides, today. Once they tied the game, you worked hard to try and score another goal by taking lots of shots on net.  You didn't give up and kept the play in offensive zone in the 3rd period.  It was so exciting to see the Foodland Team ...
