Bantam Minor, 2013-14 (Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group)

The Owen Sound Minor Bantams travelled to Detroit with 9 and in the final game 8 skaters and did very well.

The Firefighter Minor Bantams wrapped up the regular season on a high note with a 4-1 win over the Dundas Blues to finish a very strong season for the team. With 13 wins 5 ties and 31 points the bantams finished in 6th place in the competitive tri-county league .  The team racked up  99 goals, which is 4th best in the league while giving up just 78 which is 6th best. The Minor Bantams head into OMHA's this weekend  against 2 strong teams in NewHamburg and Brampton and hope to continue there winning ways into the 2nd round. With excellent attendance at practices and games all year  the boys ...

Saturday night at the Attack/Whalers game the Owen Sound Firefighter Minor Bantams collected $1360  for the Salvation Army as well as a yet to be determined amount of food . With the support of parents this was a great project in giving back to the community. Job well done boys.

The Owen Sound Firefighter Minor Bantams have a 6 game unbeaten streak that has them sitting in 5th place in the competitive Tri-county League out of 13 teams . With 3 wins and 3 ties in their last 6 games they are now ranked 19th in Ontario for 2000 age "A" teams out of 93 teams based on myhockeyrankings.com .  They have a current overall record of 16-11-4 , great work team. 

The Owen Sound Firefighter Minor Bantams had a strong weekend at the Regional Silver Stick hosted by Owen Sound Minor Hockey this past weekend. With a 6-0 win over Bradford in the opening game , followed by a close 1-0 loss to Guelph , Owen Sound bounced back with a come from behind win over St.Thomas  4-2 .  After one of their best games all season the Bantams lost a great 1-0 game to New Hamburg in the Semi finals. Another great tournament effort by the team!
