Note: Each year, all coaching positions are are considered OPEN, requiring all potential coaches, including those returning, to undergo the application and potential interview process.

The role of the head coach serves as a crucial connection to the Vice President of Hockey and the OSMHG executive. Collaborative engagement during tryouts, team selection, addressing and communication of issues throughout the season is pivotal for the success of the team and is a required commitment for selected coaches.

In addition to the mentioned aspects, applicants should be mindful of the broader criteria and expectations outlined on the OSMHG Representative Coach Roles and Responsibilities'. This includes expectations regarding conduct, displays of mutual respect, leadership, instructional capabilities, and proficiency in conflict resolution.
