2013/14 Coach Selections
Owen Sound Minor Hockey is pleased to announce the following coach selections for the 2013/14 hockey season.

The executive will reconvene April 9th to complete the coach 
selections for the remaining 'A' teams.


 Novice (8 year olds)
 Martin-s.jpg Rob Martin
Occupation: Owen Sound Water Treatment Plant Operator

Rob was born and raised in the City of Owen Sound.  He played hockey for OSMHG and continues to play in the Owen Sound Rec. League.  During his school years, he enjoyed playing varsity basketball.


 Atom Minor (born in 2004/5)

Occupation: Supervisor Grey Bruce Meter Services

Chris was born in Owen Sound and played his minor hockey in Chatsworth.  He played Jr. B with the Grey's for 4 years and Jr. C. with Walkerton and Hanover.

 Atom Major (born in 2003)

Occupation: Customer Service at RBW (21 years)

Gary coached this team in their Atom Minor year.  He has been part of the hockey bench staff for over 12 years at the A and AAA level.  For the last several years he has been involved with coaching ringette at the A/AA provincial level.



 Peewee Minor (born in 2002)

Nick MacArthur (Ken Williams asst.)

Nick has spent the better part of his life in Owen Sound. He played hockey for OSMHG.  Later he continued to play Jr. "C" for 3 years and a couple of years in the Sr. "A" League.


 Peewee Major (born in 2001)

Marc-André Proulx
Occupation: Phys. Ed., Co-op and Guidance Teacher

Marc-André was born in Hearst, Ontario where he played his minor hockey.  He played 'AAA' for the Kapuskasing Flyers and Junior 'A' for the Abitibi Eskimos.

Marc-André coached this team in their Minor PeeWee year and was the assistant coach with the 2000 age group (Minor Bantams) in the previous season.

Crescent Athletic Club
The Crescent Athletic Club of Owen Sound, Ontario was envisioned and founded in 1920 by like-minded sportsmen as a viable way to bind interests, commitments and the continuance of minor sports teams in the community. Historically a not-for-profit men's organization with the aim to support local athletic teams. Today the club functions in much the same way it was originally fashioned. A place for members to meet and greet in the club rooms for drinks, camaraderie and some gifted gab. Club banquets and sports events like golf, darts and curling tournaments generate proceeds to help keep the club running and to raise donation funds for minor sports teams in Owen Sound when it is possible to do so. 2022 was a historic year as the Crescent Athletic Club celebrated 102 years.
