This exciting season brings a significant enhancement to our programming with the implementation of a Tiered Local League system across the WOAA. We’re eager to welcome new applicants and returning coaches to step forward and join this rewarding journey.

Why Should You Apply to Coach?

Coaching is one of the most rewarding roles in hockey. As a coach, you’re not just on the sidelines—you’re at the center of the action with the best seats in the house, close to the camaraderie, jokes, and the unforgettable moments that make youth hockey so special.

Whether you’re a seasoned coach or someone who has considered coaching but hesitated to take the leap, we want you! Our goal is to foster a supportive and welcoming environment for all our coaches. We’re here to help you succeed:

What is the Tiered Local League System?

This season, teams will be tiered based on player skill levels, ranging from Tier 3 (most advanced) to Tier 1 (developing players). Tiering ensures that players are placed in the best environment for their personal growth, skill development, and enjoyment. Whether a player is honing advanced techniques or mastering the fundamentals, they’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a setting tailored to their needs.
