Welcome to the Barb Downey Memorial Hockey Tournament!

Crescent Athletic Club
The Crescent Athletic Club of Owen Sound, Ontario was envisioned and founded in 1920 by like-minded sportsmen as a viable way to bind interests, commitments and the continuance of minor sports teams in the community. Historically a not-for-profit men's organization with the aim to support local athletic teams. Today the club functions in much the same way it was originally fashioned. A place for members to meet and greet in the club rooms for drinks, camaraderie and some gifted gab. Club banquets and sports events like golf, darts and curling tournaments generate proceeds to help keep the club running and to raise donation funds for minor sports teams in Owen Sound when it is possible to do so. 2022 was a historic year as the Crescent Athletic Club celebrated 102 years.

Bill and Elizabeth Graham possess a concrete foundation in this business, having been in the industry for more than 30 years. They take great pride in having the only grocery store in the area that offers delivery services and personalized shopping. Foodland Delivery Plus believes that being socially responsible and proactive is a solid indicator of our success. We constantly strive to make a positive impact in the community in our own little ways. For instance, we have supported numerous local charitable institutions, providing funds to these worthwhile advocacies. We have also sponsored a number of organizations, including sports teams in minor leagues.
McDonald's
atoMc® Hockey is a McDonald's® Canada's minor hockey sponsorship program of the Under-11 (U11) house league/recreational age division in Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec). The program provides free sets of primary game jerseys and socks to all participating teams.

Working Together to Make A Safer Community The City of Owen Sound can indeed be very proud of their dedicated group of professional fire fighters, who have a history of more than 150 years of service. The department has 26 full time Firefighters, 1 full time Training Officer, and 2 full time Fire Prevention Professionals. Owen Sound is a 911 Community.
