Two Playoff Wins!!
What a weekend!  Boys played hard and came out winners!

The U13 Rep team played in Acton against Halton Hills Thunder on Saturday and had our first win of the playoffs.  They skated away with a 5-4 win!  Ben Warwick had a hat trick (nice hatty Ben!) and Sam Harrow scored 2 goals.  Players with assists were Grady Shannon, Tysen Gass, Simon Hornick, Keagan McGregor (2) and Gryphon Barber.  Paul McKenna kept the puck out of the net the first 2 periods (he had 7 periods in a row with no goals).  

Our team played on Sunday at the Bayshore vs the Guelph Gryphons.  The team played hard and had a 3-0 win.  Michael Maloney got a shut out!!  Amazing job Michael - you played really well in net today!  Goals were scored by Ben Warwick (2) and Sam Harrow (1).  Assists by: Alex Jarman, Paddy Shaughnessy-Watkins, and Tysen Gass.  A great game overall by all of the boys!

Great job this weekend!  Next game on Friday March 3rd at the Bayshore vs Burlington Eagles Gold.

Crescent Athletic Club
The Crescent Athletic Club of Owen Sound, Ontario was envisioned and founded in 1920 by like-minded sportsmen as a viable way to bind interests, commitments and the continuance of minor sports teams in the community. Historically a not-for-profit men's organization with the aim to support local athletic teams. Today the club functions in much the same way it was originally fashioned. A place for members to meet and greet in the club rooms for drinks, camaraderie and some gifted gab. Club banquets and sports events like golf, darts and curling tournaments generate proceeds to help keep the club running and to raise donation funds for minor sports teams in Owen Sound when it is possible to do so. 2022 was a historic year as the Crescent Athletic Club celebrated 102 years.
