WELCOME TEAMS!
U7/U7MD and U8/U8MD — Sanction #29662

  1. A team contact (coach or manager) must submit an official team roster and travel permit to [email protected] by December 7, 2025. Official rosters can be obtained from your Registrar and travel permit applications are typically found on association websites. Please reach out if you would like help with this.
  2. Coaches and/or managers must check in with the tournament office, located on the second floor at the top of the stairs at the JMRRC, to complete their game sheets at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each game.
  3. All teams must have a rostered coach and trainer present during the duration of game play.

Roster, Bench Access & Eligibility

  1. Player benches and ice surfaces are to be strictly used by bench staff and players that appear on the official rosters only. Parents, fans and all other attendees are prohibited from accessing these areas.
  2. Players may only participate if they are on the official registered roster and are the appropriate age. Please note, only one (1) official roster is needed if you are dividing that roster into two (2) teams for this Jamboree.

Game Format

  1. All games will be played in a ‘half ice’ format, with the use of half ice boards and small nets.
  2. Ice pads will be divided into an “A” section (end closest to the Zamboni entrance) and a “B” section (end closest to the dressing rooms).
  3. Blue 4-oz pucks will be used for all game play.
  4. Games will be played in a 4-on-4 format, with a goalie. In the event that a team does not have a goalie present, the net will remain empty and a 5th skater may be added. For safety reasons, no player shall occupy the net without the necessary equipment.
  5. Goalie equipment must be ice-rated. Road hockey/ball hockey equipment will not be permitted.
  6. Teams will be given a one-minute on-ice warm-up prior to starting the game and two minutes between periods.
  7. Games will consist of two (2) 22-minute periods utilizing run time. A buzzer will signal line changes every 2 minutes.
  8. Face-offs will only be used at the start of each period.
  9. There will be no stoppage of play after a goal. The scoring team must retreat to the vicinity of their net and cannot pressure until the attacking team reaches mid-ice.
  10. No scores will be kept.

Player & Spectator Conduct

  1. There will be NO penalties; however, if a player is being unruly they may be asked to leave the ice.
  2. All coaching staff, players, parents, fans and other attendees are reminded that the on-ice officials are volunteers from within the minor hockey community. Any complaints or observations of verbal abuse or harassment of any on-ice officials will result in that person being immediately removed from the rink.

Safety, Photos & Family Information

  1. Each team will play three (3) games and players will receive a medal at the end of their final game.
