Welcome to the U9 pathway. This page provides details for U9 Pre-Skates and U9 MD Evaluations for the 2026–27 season, including program structure, schedule information, and registration requirements for families.
U9 Pre-Skate Program
The Pre-Skate program is designed to provide players with structured ice time ahead of evaluations. These sessions focus on skill development, confidence building, and preparing players for the upcoming season.

Eligibility:
Open to all players entering the U9 division (born in 2018) for the 2026–27 season. Participation is encouraged regardless of whether you intend to attend U9 MD Evaluations.

Registration is completed through Spordle. Please select the appropriate program during registration.
U9 MD Evaluation Skates
U9 MD (Minor Development) Evaluation Skates are used to assess players and support team formation for the upcoming 2026-27 season. These sessions provide a structured environment where players can demonstrate their skills and game understanding.

Important:
Participation in U9 MD Evaluations is required for players who wish to be considered for U9 MD team placement for the 2026–27 season.

Not Sure Which Program?
U9 Pre-Skates are designed for all players—not just those attending evaluations. They provide a great opportunity for extra ice time, skill development, and reconnecting with teammates before the season begins.
If your player is aiming for a spot on a U9 MD (Minor Development) team, they must also register for U9 MD Evaluations.
Important:
Registration for Pre-Skates and MD Evaluations is completed separately. Please ensure you select each program you wish to attend during registration.
