Tyke MD takes on CUJO!
The Owen Sound Jr Attack Quik Lube Tyke MD team dug deep to win in the final game of the 2017 CUJO Invitational Tyke Tournament against the Bradford Bulls, 6-1. 




The team worked hard all weekend at their first ever tournament playing in 5 games total.  After a challenging first game, losing to a strong Tecumseh Eagles, we played a nail biter against the Uxbridge Stars, falling 4-3 in the final 5 seconds of the game!  Ewan Muzzell led the charge with three goals and an assist on the first day, with team mates Josh Rayner and Darren Jacques adding a goal a piece and Ethan Osborne, Jacques, Kaden Zoldy and Wyatt Fry all providing assists.  Tyson Morrison was relentless in his play and provided great offensive pursuit.

Saturday saw two tough losses against two very quick and aggressive teams, the Essex Ravens (8-0) and Hamilton Huskies(10-2).  Rayner scored two goals in the game vs the Huskies with Osborne and Andrew Carmichael providing the assists.  Cole Bonn took away the "hardest working player" helmet for his efforts in the Essex game.

After some solid rest and positive dreams, the Tyke team brought their "A" game early Sunday morning and stepped on the ice fired up and ready to go.  The game was fast, and purposeful with lots of great passing, and an early game lead.  Muzzell provided two exciting goals, while Osborne, Jacques, Carmichael and Rayner all worked hard to get one a piece.  Zoldy, Ty Foster, Fry, Rayner and Muzzell provided the assists.  The defense team of Fry, Tamati Douglas, Caiden Morrison, Coen Morrison, Brayden Power, and Kai Bonterre back checked and supported their two incredible goalies, Myles Tennant and Graiden McNabb, all weekend.

It was a great experience for these young rep players and a great development opportunity.  Thanks to our great coaching staff for supporting our players and leading our team!
