Jr. Attack Beat Georgian Shores 4-1 in Owen Sound
Owen Sound came out of the gate on fire and didn't let up until the final buzzer beating Georgian Shores 4-1.
Outstanding goaltending by Carter Green of The Georgian Shores was not enough to stop the Owen Sound Jr Attack on Thursday night in Owen Sound. Bennet Carr opened the scoring in the first with the assists going to Percy Roney and Keltan Berner. Georgian Shores answered back at the half way point of the second period tying the game at 1.
That would be the only goal the Lightening would get as the Jr Attack turned it on with Ronan Helder putting them ahead 2-1, assisted by Leighton Hurst and another assist by Piercy Roney. Leighton Hurst got his first of the game assisted by Nolan Edmonstone and Bennett Carr at the 4:11 mark of the third. With 3 minutes left, a strong forward effort by #20 William McMillian got him the assist on Cohen Taylor's goal putting the Attack ahead 4-1.
Owen Sound heads to Honeywood on Saturday to take on the Honeywood Hurricanes.
