Tryout Schedule (Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group)

Players Attending "A" Level Tryouts:

Tryouts for the 2024-25 U10-U18 Representative hockey season are scheduled for this Spring

OMSHG players are required to register online through the HCR/Spordle system for Body Checking Clinics, Pre-Skates, and Tryouts prior to attending on-ice sessions. When registering for these sessions, please ensure to select 'Skip the registration selection' to proceed with registering for these sessions.

• Pre-Skate Session, Body Checking Clinic, and Tryout registration for U10-U18 players is open and can be found HERE.  

**PLEASE NOTE - Full Player Registration for the season will open following the Spring tryouts. 

Players Attending "AAA" or Junior Level Tryouts:

For those interested in trying out for AAA or Junior Hockey, players are required to provide their desired team a "Permission to Skate" form prior to taking part in on-ice sessions. 
To make your player's intent known, please submit your request to the VP of Rep Hockey, so that the necessary paper work can be assembled and provided.

Players intending to Attend Tryouts above their age division:

OSMHG players who wish to tryout out for a team above their age division must review the Exceptional Player Policy and submit their request to Owen Sound Minor Hockey.  The Player must receive approval from Owen Sound Minor Hockey prior to attending on-ice Tryout sessions.

Pre-Evaluation Requirements:

To participate in tryouts as an NRP, players must request an electronic NRP Passport tryout form from their home association. It is imperative to have this form completed prior to participating in tryouts; players without this form will be unable to take part.

Body Checking Clinics and Pre-Skate Registration:

NRP players U14 and above must have either completed a Body Checking Clinic in previous seasons or indicate their participation in
one of the scheduled upcoming Body Checking Clinics to maintain eligibility for tryouts.

As well, our NRP participants are requested to confirm their attendance to pre-skates.
